Mike + Lori had a fantastic wedding day! Their ceremony was held at Saint Mary's Church in Richmond Virginia. They invited their students to attend so they could be a part of their special ceremony. Today’s modern videographer goes by many titles … filmmaker, storyteller, visual artist. Whatever you want to call them, they all have their own unique way of telling your story. And YOUR wedding day story is unique and must be told. FINALLY, there is a new breed of videographer out there to fulfill the role of “artiste” in addition to what we all know and sometimes fear. In other words, there is something for everyone and every budget. Listen people…. VIDEOGRAPHY IS A MUST!

A videographer friend of mine gave me the perfect analogy…

“A wedding is a LIVE event, you wouldn’t go to the movies to watch a picture!”

If a picture is worth a thousand words, then video is worth….. you do the math! An experienced wedding videographer knows how to capture every raw and true moment at your wedding. These moments get pieced together to evoke an emotion. Aside from the obvious benefits of hiring an expert (i.e. professional equipment, experienced eye, dedicated shooter, editing skills) a wedding video has the magical ability to make those ethereal moments tangible all over again.

People may have a dozen reasons why they shouldn’t have a video but sometimes fail to remember why they should. I make it my duty to tell clients why they need it and why it’s just as important as photography. Here’s a great tip: “If budget does not permit for videography, then perhaps it’s time to revisit the spreadsheet and cut the charger plates!”

Hedrick/ Pascale Wedding

Tara and Gustavo decided to have a gorgeous evening wedding at The Gardens at Sunday Park. This is such a beautiful place to have a wedding and reception overlooking the water. The sunset is just amazing there. I met up with Tara to film her hanging out with her bridesmaids before they met up at Sunday Park. After getting some great shots, we all headed over to the Boathouse where she would be getting her dress on. Mike started filming the guys at Sunday Park and then filmed some great shots of the location.
Tara had an amazing dress. It was very slimming all the way down dress, past her hips the dress started flowing into this gorgeous train. It was just perfect for her cute figure, I have never seen a dress like this. It was truly one of a kind. She had a bird cage veil which was handmade. It had beautiful rhinestones that sparkled when any kind of light hit it. It was awesome. Mobbs photography and I had so much fun getting great shots of her veil and stunning dress.
Mike at this time was filming the guys getting ready. The ceremony started at 6:30pm and was about a 30 mins ceremony. They had a ring ceremony, where the parents of the Bride and Groom hold a ribbon with the Bride's ring and Groom's ring and hold the ribbon down each aisle for the guest to push the ring through the ribbon. It was very special and something I had not seen done before. Very unique.
After the ceremony Mobb photographer and us took the Bride and Groom and filmed amazing sunset shots of the couple by the water. The reception was beautiful with lots of special touches Tara had thought of. The centerpieces were beautiful and everything turned out just perfect. The couple was then announced and shared their very first dance together as husband and wife. Then the guest enjoyed a buffet line with amazing food The Boathouse had prepared for them.
Tara and Gustavo had a great band called The Jangling Reinharts. The were great. We have worked with them before and they have always got the guest up and dancing. After the cake cutting and bouquet/ garter toss, Tara and Gustavo danced a little bit more before departing with their guest holding mini lanterns to send them off into the nights sky on a nice quiet boat ride on the water. What a perfect way to end the night.
Thank you Tara and Gustavo for asking us to film your special day. We are had so much fun and hope you have a wonderful honeymoon!!

Fitzgerald/ Evelyn Wedding

It was a nice sunny day on June 27, 2009. Jessica and Patrick had their wedding in Williamsburg, VA. It is such a pretty place to get married, with lots of history. Their ceremony took place at Williamsburg United Methodist Church and the reception took place at Kingsmill. The Bride and Groom both got ready at the church. Jessica had a stunning dress and all kinds of details ready for me to film. After Jessica was done getting ready, Cynthia Newmark, her photographer, and I went to get some fun footage of the bridal party before the ceremony. After the girls pictures we had fun getting some shots of the guys having fun.
The church was very big and perfect for her guest total of up to 5oo people. The church had lots of details and was beautifully decorated. The ceremony was about 30 mins., with two singers, and then the lighting of the unity candle. After the ceremony we had fun filming the post ceremony at the church.
When we arrived at Kingsmill we filmed the stunning reception hall and all of the details Jessica put into the reception. It was just gorgeous. They had a cocktail hour outside before the staff opened the reception hall doors to reveal the reception room to all the guest. The couple was then introduced and enjoyed their very first dance as husband and wife. After the blessing, the guest enjoyed delicious foods, the Kingsmill's staff had put together.
Concluding dinner, the guest enjoyed dancing to an amazing band called The Travelers. The band was great and the dance floor was packed. The couple then had the cake cutting, toast, and bouquet/ garter toss. Jessica and Patrick then enjoyed the rest of the evening dancing to The Travelers Band's music with all their family and friends. It was a perfect day! Thank you so much Jessica and Patrick. You were so much fun and we had a blast getting to know both of you. Thank you for asking us to be a part of you day and have a wonderful honeymoon!!!

Broughton/ Wicichowski Wedding

We were so excited to film Kristin and Matthew's wedding, because we had filmed the Groom's sister's wedding a couple of years ago and another couple that was there. It was like a family reunion seeing everyone all over again and being able to share another special chapter in their families life. Kristin and Matthew are such an adorable couple and we were so excited to be apart of their wedding.
Their wedding took place in Farmville, VA, which is where the Groom's parents live. The ceremony was held at Farmville United Methodist Church. We started the day filming Kristin getting ready at a hotel near the church. Her dress was just gorgeous!! It was strapless dress with a beautiful train. She had lots of detailed accessories and even water bottles with their name on it. After we were done filming Kristin, we headed over to the church to get ready for the ceremony, and to get some shots of the guys.
The ceremony was a perfect evening ceremony. They lit a unity candle after the ring exchange. After the ceremony, we filmed some amazing shots of them outside, at Longwood College, and by a fountain across the street. It was a lot of fun! The reception was held at the Groom's parents house. They had a beautiful house up on a couple of acres that overlooked a scenic lake. They had set up a tent with fans and had gone all out to accommodate the guest they were having. They had put a lot of personal touches into the reception site. All the guest when arriving had there own personalized teapot with a greenery plant in the pot. The guest names and table numbers were on each teapot. The tables had beautiful linen and flower arrangements. The tent had Chinese lanterns hanging for the ceiling. It was stunning.
The bridal party were announced wearing their cool shades. They had a sit down dinner, then the dancing began! Everyone had a blast dancing and having a great time.
Thank you so much Kristin and Matthew for letting us film such a special day! We were so happy to see everyone again and think the world of all of you. Hope you have a wonderful honeymoon!

Gould/ Karanasios Wedding

Meaghan and Brendan had their wedding and reception at the beautiful Clover Forest Plantation. What a breathtaking location this was to have a wedding at!! We met Meaghan at her mom's house to film her hair and makeup. Lou Stevens and the Glam Squad did a great job. After we were done we went to Clover Forest to start filming her dress and the gorgeous property. Once Meaghan arrived, I filmed her getting ready. After she was done Erik Leise and I went to get some shots of her outside with her bridesmaids. Erik Leise is a great photographer and is always a pleasure to work with.
Mike was filming the guys while I was with the girls. He filmed the Groom and groomsmen hanging out before the ceremony. Colleen Cook from CCS Events did a great job coordinating everything to run on time and is always such a joy to work with. She was there for the Bride and Groom anytime they needed her and was very hands on with the coordination of all the festivities that occurred during the day.
The ceremony took place outside overlooking the lake and the gorgeous scenery behind them. The sun was shinning and it was a beautiful day. On every seat outside for the ceremony were fans for the guest to have along with lemonade to enjoy during this summer day. After the ceremony we went with Eric to film some amazing footage of the couple outside on the grounds of Clover Forest. After the pictures we went to film the Bride and Groom signing the Ketubah. The reception was outside, Colleen and her assistant did an amazing job! The tables and linen were beautiful and the cake by Cakes by Graham was just perfect. They enjoyed a wonderful night full of fun and dancing. It was a perfect day. The two left with glow sticks, which was a lot of fun and turned out amazing on video.

Mandzik/ von Kleeck Wedding

What a gorgeous Williamsburg wedding this was. This couple went out of their way to make this wedding fun and entertaining for all of their guest to enjoy. They had surprises throughout the entire day and made it so much fun for their family and friends. It was a gorgeous sunny day with not a cloud in the sky.
Their ceremony took place on a breathtaking Fountain Garden located at the Williamsburg Lodge, in Williamsburg, VA. Mike immediately started getting breathtaking shots of the garden while I went with Judy and the bridesmaids to film hair and makeup. After hair and makeup I went to film her strapless dress, which had sparkling sequence all around the front and bottom of the dress. She has a long veil and so many thought out details I had a blast filming. Mike met up with the guys and got some fun shots of all of them getting ready and hanging out before the ceremony at 3:30pm. Before the ceremony one of their surprises for their guest was they had a beach ball that Liz Daley from Daley's DJ's coordinated. Her job was to announce to the guest that Judy and Peter wanted to get both sides of the family familiarized with each other by hitting a beach ball back and forth between both sides of the Groom and Brides family and friends before they walk down the aisle. It was a huge success!! The families and friends had a blast hitting the ball back and forth. In between both families was a gorgeous fountain that they had to avoid the ball going into. It was a great break the ice and was a great way for them to express how much fun this wedding was going to be.
They had another surprise during the ceremony during the ring exchange, when it was time for the groom to get the ring from his Best Man, he didn't have it. Pete looked over at all of his other groomsmen and they didn't have it either. Everyone was concerned at first, but then the Grooms father stood up and said, " I have it" and then handed it to Pete. It had there guest laughing and enjoying every bit of what they had concocted.
The couple had a horse and buggy pick them up after the ceremony to take them down to Colonial Williamsburg for some amazing footage. I went to film the details at the Williamsburg Lodge, while Mike went with the couple to get some fun shots of the couple enjoying Colonial Williamsburg. The reception was beautifully decorated with beautiful centerpieces made by The Flower Cupboard. The couple had a private table overlooking the guest for the Bridal Party and their family to sit. The next surprise was the Bride and Groom wanted to have Colonial drummers lead them and their guest from the cocktail hour to the reception hall. It was so cool. The drummers where amazing. Liz Daley from Daley's DJ's was the MC for the evening. She did a great job with all of the surprises Judy and Pete had coordinated with her to do during the entire day.
The couple was introduced and shared their first dance and then enjoyed mother/ son and father/ daugther dances as well. The reception was full of non stop surprises they had planned and was so much fun for their guest to always remember. They really went out of their way to have their guest entertained with fun and surprises. What a fun a memorable wedding.
Thanks you so much Peter and Judy!!! We will never forget your wedding and all the fun things you all had planned. What a blast. Have a wonderful honeymoon and thank you for having us film all the fun and festivities the two of you worked so hard at planning.

Wedding Season is Here!!

Hi everyone, 2009 has arrived, so let the wedding season begin! What better way to start the year off right than a wedding with May Lynn and her husband Jason. These two have been together for a very long time. Whenever you are with them you can tell that they are very much in love. They are so happy together. They are also big Starbucks fans! So when we were given the privilege of capturing their wedding day, we knew this was going to be special. May Lynn and Jason celebrated their wedding ceremony at Battery Park Christian Church. Her father officiated their wedding which made it even more memorable. After speaking their vows and the exchanging of rings with one another, May Lynn and Jason continued their wedding celebration by hosting their wedding reception at the Artworks Gallery in downtown Richmond.
Great food, great decor and great music filled the gallery as May Lynn, Jason and their guests danced the night away. After an evening of fun and excitement, May Lynn and Jason said their goodbyes to everyone and left to go onto their honeymoon for a little bit of rest and relaxation as they start their new life together as husband and wife. Thank you May Lynn and Jason, we truly had a wonderful time capturing your wedding day.

Booth / Civils Wedding

January 24th, 2009 is a day that Sabrina and Dalton will never forget. And neither will we. :) It was this day that they said "I Do" to each other and start their new life together. Sabrina and Dalton are such great people to be around. They will definitely make you laugh. They have so much fun together. Special thanks goes out to Jason Gill for helping us film such a momentous day.
Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church was the location set for Sabrina and Dalton's wedding ceremony. It was a beautiful ceremony but fun to watch too. You could see Sabrina and Dalton making each other laugh as they sat down together during mass.
Have you ever just looked at a couple and can tell they are perfect for each other? That's the feeling we get when hanging around them. They are good friends to have.
After their wedding ceremony ended, it was off to Willow Oaks Country Club for a fantastic reception. Willow Oaks is such a great place for a wedding reception. It has lots of space on the inside for guests and plenty of room outside for those warm sunny days. Its a nice place to film video and take pictures too. Jason Paige from Celebrity DJ's rocked the house with his incredible DJ style. I can say that I have never seen such an awesome setup and display like Jason's before. The lighting and special effects were like nothing we have ever seen before. He was very professional. Everyone had a great time. Sabrina and Dalton's reception was absolutely beautiful with flowers, an ice sculpture, and even a chocolate fountain. They put a lot of hard work into planning their wedding.
After an exciting evening, Sabrina and Dalton said goodbye to everyone as they departed into their limo and headed for their honeymoon. Thank you so much Sabrina and Dalton for having us at your wedding. It was truly an honor.

Vicario / Coyle Wedding

December 27th was a extra special day. I filmed a gorgeous wedding at St. Josephs Villa and it was also my Birthday! Jenna and Mike couldn't have picked a better day in December to get married. A special thanks goes to Jason Gill for helping us film this incredible day.
Their wedding ceremony was held a St. Josephs Villa. This is a very beautiful church. The architecture and design is impeccable. Their officiant for the ceremony was Reverend Doug Bowman. He did a excellent job. We highly recommend him.
After a beautiful ceremony, the new Mr. and Mrs Coyle had a great time taking pictures outside of the church and also in front of The Jefferson. Their photographer for the day was Don Mears with Don Mears photography. He and his wife are great to work with.
The Empire Room at the Jefferson Hotel was the site for Jenna and Mike's wedding reception. Everyone had a blast. Trish Brinkley and her staff at the Jefferson did a wonderful job taking care of their guests. Always a thumbs up when i get to work there.
After an amazing evening of dancing and celebration, Jenna and Mike said their goodbyes to their friends and family and departed from their reception to start their new life together as husband and wife. Thank you Jenna and Mike for having us film the most important day in your lives.

Wells / Burton Wedding

Stacey and Adam were married November 8, 2008 at Immanuel Baptist Church. The church was located in Petersburg not to far away from where the Bride grew up. The weather was nice that day. It had stopped raining that morning and the rain left a nice breeze in the air.
I met Stacey at the church to film her makeup being put on. I always love getting these detailed shots. Mike was unpacking our gear and also getting some amazing shots of the church. It was a gorgeous church with beautiful stained glass. After her makeup was done I filmed her dress before she put it on. Her dress was stunning. Stacey's dress had a long train with gorgeous details all over the dress. Her hair was half up with the rest of her hair in long loose curls.
Mike at this time was filming the guys getting ready and getting some fun shots with them. After the Bride was dressed I filmed her getting some fun pictures with Wendell Powell before the ceremony.
The ceremony started right on time with the help of their wedding planner Jennifer Eschbach from Details Wedding & Events. She was on top of everything and made things run so smoothly. The ceremony was about 45 mins. It was a very emotional ceremony with lots of laughs and cries. We were able to get great shots of both parents wiping tears from their eyes during the ceremony. This will be great for Stacey and Adam to look back on, because they didn't get to see their parents during their vows or ring exchange.
After the ceremony was over Mike went to the Petersburg Country Club to start filming the cocktail hour and reception details. I stayed back with Stacey and Adam to film the formal pictures taken at the church with Wendell Powell. After the pictures I filmed them getting into a Bentley that would take them to the Reception. Once they arrived at the Reception they wanted to get some shots by the water. We had a blast with them and the Bridal Party. The sun was getting ready to set and the water was just perfect.
Stacey and her mom put so much work into the details at the reception. Stacey's mom made for party favors different scented candles for all of the guest. The top of the jar had the date they got married along with their names on it. The candles scents were pumpkin, vanilla, cream brulle. They all smelled so good. The candles were in gorgeous sterling silver bowels all around the entrance of the ballroom. The reception was a lot of fun. Everyone was dancing and having a great time. The kids were having fun as well dancing up a storm. After their last dance their guest lined up with rose petals to see them off. It was the perfect day.
Thank you so much Stacey and Adam for choosing us to be apart of you special day. We had so much fun getting to know you and your family. We hope you have a wonderful Honeymoon!!

Karleen and I had the honor and privilege of filming Linda and Seiji's wedding celebration at the beautiful Manor House in Glen Allen, Va. Every time we have the opportunity to film there we always capture great footage. The Manor House is a very charming, classy place for a wedding.
Linda and Seiji are both in the medical field and care a lot about people. It was very important for them to have their friends and family share this incredible day with them.
The one phrase I'll never forget is when Seiji said "S.W.A.T. leads the way" throughout the night. They had friends from S.W.A.T., the hospital and other departments there to enjoy their celebration with them. The phrase was a funny inside joke.
Their ceremony was held in the gardens in the front of the Manor House. The weather was great. The sky was clear and it was very warm. Perfect for an outdoor wedding. It was a very emotional ceremony as Linda and Seiji exchanged their vows and became husband and wife. Instead of a unity candle, they decided on having a sand ceremony. Seiji had a son and wanted his son to be apart of every aspect of the wedding. We could see the love he had for his son and how much Linda cared for him. There were a lot of emotional cries during the sand ceremony as they joined together as a family.
After the ceremony we took them around the property to get some really fun shots. During one of the shots they were leaning against a lamp post. They both lost their balance and fell to the ground. They were just laughing and going with the fun. We ended up getting some great shots of them in the grass. It is always so much fun having couples that are so fun and daring. It makes for amazing footage.
The reception was so much fun. Linda put so many details into the reception. She had pictures all over the house of the two of them. Instead of flowers on the table, there were a bouquet of different chocolates made into hearts. Their wedding cake was white with black polka dots all over it. It was the most unusual cake I had ever seen. It looked like it was out of a magazine! It was absolutely gorgeous. After their last dance, the guest went outside to light sparklers. The two of them walked through the sparklers and left with their guests waving them goodbye.

Yelich / Dobrodziej Wedding

Historic Colonial Williamsburg was the location for Annie and Matt's wedding celebration. Family from all over the U.S, even Poland, came to see them wed and start their life together as husband and wife. Wedding planner, Esme Pitard, did a fantastic job making sure everything ran smoothly and looked absolutely beautiful.
Their ceremony was held at the 16th century Bruton Parish Church. This is a very beautiful church with a lot of history. I highly recommend visiting their church if you are ever in the Williamsburg area.
After a memorable ceremony, we traveled to the Willamsburg Winery for Annie and Matt's wedding reception. Before the reception began, Annie set aside some time for photographer Paige Buchbinder from Pictures by Paige and us to capture some amazing footage of them around the winery. The staff at the winery were very hospitable and more than generous. They took us to places on the property where people normally cannot go just so we could get some incredible shots. We had so much fun working with Paige. Her style was so compatable with us.
Everyone had a wonderful time at the reception. The music was great and the dance floor was full for just about the entire evening. Matt's family from Poland even sang them a special celebration song during the toasts. It was truly an extraordinary evening.
At the end of the night Annie and Matt departed from their reception by having their guests see them off blowing bubbles and cheering them on.

Tiet / Schneider Wedding

I had the honor of capturing Quan and Eric's wedding celebration at the Virginia Crossings Resort. Quan and Eric currently reside in Florida but decided to wed here in Virginia because a lot of their family lives here. Wedding planner Sally Raderer from Something Blue did a wonderful job making sure everything looked beautiful and ran perfectly.
Quan and Eric held two ceremonies. A traditional wedding ceremony and then a tea ceremony. The tea ceremony was an amazing experience for me to witness. It was a more personal ceremony for their families. Both families welcomed Quan and Eric and gave them gifts along with best wishes for their life together. It was very emotional.
Afterwards, we traveled to The Place at Innsbrook for their wedding reception. Quan and Eric were so grateful for their friends and family to share their celebration with them that they wanted give them a special gift for coming. At most weddings, we see friends and family take pictures with the bride and groom throughout the evening. Quan and Eric decided to take this idea one step further. They set aside time before the reception for every guest to have a professional portrait taken with them. Valiant Photography's Doug and Jill Valiant did an incredible job making this happen. They must have taken over 200 pictures during this particular photo session. But Quan and Eric weren't done yet. With perfect execution between Doug Valiant and Sally Raderer, they were able to have every picture developed and ready for each guest before the evening was over. That meant that every guest went home that evening with a personal gift from Quan and Eric.
Everyone had a great time at the reception. The dance floor was full throughout the entire evening. Eric Jaundoo from Choice Entertainment did a great job mixing up the music and keeping the dance floor busy. The way he mixes his music is awesome. After a memorable evening, Quan and Eric departed their reception with family and friends lined up outside to send them off.

Powers / Hagerman Wedding

The beautiful Italian Gardens at Maymont was the setting for the wedding of Michele Powers and Brian Hagerman. I had the honor of filming their wedding and being a part of their special day.
Michele and Brian live in Atlanta. Brian works for the Atlanta Falcons and Michele works for an advertising firm. Both of them have family here in Virginia so they decided to exchange their vows to one another at The Italian Garden.
Before the ceremony, Michele and Brian decided to see each other so that they could get their pictures taken together early. They wanted to have as much time as possible for fun and dancing at the reception. Photographer Glen New took some amazing pictures of them. Glen and I have worked together before and I must say he is wonderful to work with.
Michele arrived at the Italian Garden for her ceremony on a horse and carriage. She was accompanied by her flower girl. Her flower girl was very excited to be on a horse and carriage. I could tell she really enjoyed it. Brian was waiting anxiously at the entrance of the Italian Garden so that he could meet Michele. They wanted to walk down the aisle together hand in hand for their ceremony. Their ceremony was very beautiful. I could tell by the way they smiled at each other that they were very much in love.
Following the ceremony, Michele and Brian hosted a gorgeous reception. In addition to the wonderful food she provided her guests, Michele also had a candy station for everyone to enjoy. The music for the reception was provided by Extreme Dj's. He did an outstanding job mixing up the music and keeping everyone on the dance floor. Everyone had a great time.
At the end of the evening Michele and Brian departed from their reception with their guests seeing them off with sparklers. It was truly a night to remember. Thank you so much Michele and Brian for letting me be a part of the most memorable day of your lives.

Kimmick/ Bednar Wedding

The Manor House was the perfect location for the Kimmick / Bednar Wedding. It was a beautiful fall day. The leaves were just starting to turn colors. It was the perfect time of year for an outdoor wedding. When Karleen and I arrived, we were amazed with how beautiful everything looked. Kelly put a lot of effort into planning her wedding, and it showed. From decorating the gazebo with beautiful flowers, to placing portraits of her family throughout the Manor House, Kelly worked hard in creating the perfect setting for her wedding. Karleen captured gorgeous footage of Kelly getting ready with her hair and makeup, while I filmed the landscaping of the Manor House. It was so beautiful, that I wanted Kelly to be able to look back and remember how everything looked. When Christopher arrived, he had a special wedding gift waiting for him from Kelly. It was the perfect start to an unforgettable wedding day.
Their ceremony was very special for them because not only were they becoming man and wife, but Christopher was also becoming a part of Kelly's two younger children's lives. They celebrated this event by placing two beautiful necklaces around each girls neck promising their dedication to their new family. It was definitely emotional.
The reception was spectacular. Everyone had a great time. There were lots of dancing and both family's had fun getting to know one another. Even the pastor had fun with his own tribute to the newlyweds with his impersonation of Elvis. And yes, i will definitely be posting it. It was awesome. Kelly and Christopher ended the evening at the Manor House by leaving to a pathway of sparklers, created by their friends and family.
But the fun didn't stop there. I joined Kelly and Christopher to get some creative shots of them at the Jefferson Hotel. We had originally planned to film them entering the Jefferson and at the grand staircase. When we were finished, Kelly and Christopher wanted to keep having fun and being creative. So we took it to the next level. Let me first say that when it comes to creativity, Karleen and I will go above and beyond to get the shots that people dream about. It's what makes us unique. Kelly and Christopher decided as their first act of man and wife, to take the plunge and dive together into the Jefferson Hotel's pool. The water was very warm so we got a few shots of them in the pool interacting together. Thank you to the Jefferson Hotel for allowing us to get such amazing footage of Kelly and Christopher.

Family Day at Busch Gardens

We wanted to take the kids to Busch Gardens on Sunday to have some fun. We have season passes to Water Country and Busch Gardens. So we go whenever we get the chance. It is something all four of us love to do. We were especially excited, because it was decorated for Halloween. We decided to go eat lunch first at our favorite Smokehouse restaurant. They have the best food! It started to rain so we were glad we brought jackets and umbrellas. The first ride we went on was in the Dark Castle. Our youngest daughter Taylor had never been on it so she was a little scared. She ended up loving it. We then went on the Locknest Monster. Nicole had been on this ride before, but this was Taylor's first big roller coaster. Taylor loved it so much we rode on it twice. We then went to bumper cars and had fun bumping each other. We then treated ourselves to yummy dipping dots. Mike and Nicole then went into some haunted mazes. Taylor and I had fun seeing some of the workers dressed up in their costumes. It was so much fun seeing the decorations at night time. There was fog everywhere and hanging ghost from trees. It was so much fun!

Hansen / Satteruhite Wedding

Brooke and Adam were married on September 20, 2008 at the Virginia Crossings Resort. What a gorgeous place to get married! The weather was sunny with a nice breeze, just perfect for an outdoor wedding. We enjoyed working with them and getting to know them.
We were very excited about this wedding because Brooke had a special theme picked out for her wedding day. The special theme would be based on her doxen dog Millie. It turned out so cute! She wanted to have the ring bearer walk down the aisle with Millie while holding green flowers that made the shape of a dog bone. What a creative idea!! Brooke also picked out a very fashionable pearl leash Millie would wear down the aisle.
We first meet Brooke and her bridesmaids to get some shots of them getting ready. She had a gorgeous wedding gown that had a flower with stones on the side. Brooke had her hair half up with long loose curls. The hairstylist put a white lily in the side of her hair to match the flower on her dress. The younger flower girls had the cutest dresses. The little girls wore for shoes, ballet slippers that laced their legs. Instead of the flower girls wearing a dress. They wore pink leotards with adorable tutus. The tutus had pink and purple flowers all inside them. Brooke also thought it would be cute for the flower girls to walk down the aisle with matching wands. The wands had real flowers at the top and ribbon that flowed down the wand. It was just precious!!
While I was with the girls, Mike was with the groom and groomsmen getting shots of them getting ready. After he was done filming the guys, he then went outside to set up for the ceremony and film some establishing shots of this gorgeous location. There ceremony turned out just gorgeous! After the ceremony was done we got some amazing shots outside with Brooke and Jason while the sun was setting.
Brooke put a lot of hard work into the details at the reception. The kids had their own table. In the center of the table was a doxen centerpiece that was made out of flowers and moss. She had all of her guests name cards made into a dog bone with rhinestones on it. On each table she had a tall crystal centerpiece with flowers on top. There were crystals hanging from the centerpiece. At the bottom of the centerpiece on each table were edible dog bones. She had a colorful candy station with all kinds of candy in different glass jars. In between each jar where pictures of cute dogs in a white frame. It was absolutely gorgeous!
After dinner, the Bride's family had a couple of surprise dances lined up to get the party started. It was great! The Bride's dad went out first and was singing to his daughter. Brooke's parents did a choreographed dance. Jason (the groom) came out next in his firefighter uniform. They had the DJ put on red lights with flames in the background and did a special dance. What a great way to get the party started! The DJ threw out funny wigs and hats during certain songs. The night ended with their last dance and then they left on a decorated golf cart. It was a perfect day!

Our Daughters Soccer Games

This weekend our two daughters, Nicole age 6 and Taylor age 4 had their first game of the season. We had a game Saturday and Sunday this weekend. We had to do a make up game since it rained the weekend before due to Hurricane Hannah. Both girls were so excited to learn who their new coach would be this season their DADDY! Mike has been wanting to coach for so long but it was hard figuring out how to do it with our weekend weddings. We were able to work out schedules in the morning so he could be their coach this year. They grow up so fast so we want to cherish every second we have with them while they are young. Our oldest daughter Nicole has played for Strickers for 5 seasons now, our youngest daughter Taylor has been wanting to play since her older sister played and this year she was finally old enough to play. Nicole's team is the Tigers and Taylor's team is the Dobermans. Saturday was a great day, but very hot. We had to drink lots of fluid. Both teams played so good! After the game was over all the parents made a tunnel with their hands for all the kids to run through. They love it. Sunday, was a great day as well nice and sunny. It was hot, but we had a nice breeze. Our oldest daughter's game went great. We were so proud of how fast Nicole was getting down the court and blocking the ball and getting the ball up field. She did amazing! On the Dobermans team we were short 2 players, so the four kids we had did such a great time staying out their without as many breaks. We are so proud of our U5 team and all their hard work. It is so cute seeing the younger kids play soccer. We were so hot and tired after our game Sunday we thought we all deserved a slurpee. Mike, did such a great job coaching over the weekend. He was a natural and the kids loved him!

Fraley-Barnes Wedding

This past weekend, we had the honor of filming Jessica and Aaron's Wedding Day at the University of Richmond's Cannon Chapel! Their wedding turned out absolutely gorgeous! We had a great time getting to know them and their family on such a special day.

We first met Jessica and the bridesmaids to get some shots of them while they were getting ready. The bride had a white strapless dress, with intricate bead work and a gorgeous train. All of the bridesmaids wore brown strapless dresses with the cutest pink high heel shoes I have ever seen. Jessica, thought it would be a great idea to coordinate the pink shoes with their brown dresses, because they would all be holding bouquets that had pink flowers in them. What a unique idea, I have never seen this done before and it worked out so nicely! Mike, at this time was getting set up for the ceremony and getting all of the establishing shots of the location. He then met up with the groom and groomsmen to get some shots of them getting ready.

They had a full mass and shared communion together and with all of their family and friends. Carla Shriner the Wedding Coordinator for Cannon Chapel made sure everything ran on time and smoothly. After the ceremony they took pictures with family and friends, and then took a Trolley downtown to Monument Avenue to get pictures in front of the Lee Statue with Matthew from Wendell Powell. It was great working with you Matthew! It was a perfect day to get some amazing outside shots.

The reception was held at the Commonwealth Club. They had beautiful tall vases on each table with Lilies and other gorgeous flowers. Great job GML Designs. The color scheme at the Reception was brown and pink. It was a great combination. Althea at the Commonwealth Club did an amazing job overseeing the Reception. The two of them shared their first dance to "Everything" by Lighthouse. One of my favorite songs! After dinner was done they all headed to the dance floor to enjoy and amazing band from Atlanta, GA called The Maxx. They had everyone dancing! Jessica's dad and grandfather are outstanding dancers. They are by far one of the best dancers Mike and I have ever seen! The night ended beautifully! What a perfect wedding! Have a great Honeymoon!

WEVA EXPO 08!

Each year Karleen and I attend the WEVA International EXPO (Wedding & Event Videography Association) to keep up with the latest trends and techniques in the video industry, so we can provide the very best for our Bride's. This was a very special year for our company at WEVA, because we had the privilege of speaking and teaching a seminar to videographers from all over the world. What a huge honor this was for Karleen and I to share our knowledge and ideas with other videographers. This years WEVA EXPO was held at the J.W. Marriott in Orlando, Florida. It was a gorgeous hotel to have the EXPO at this year. It was so great seeing all of our friends!! Our good friends Stephanie and Barry from Fat Cat Productions went with us Thursday after the convention ended to Universal Studios. We had so much fun with them! They had never been there before so Mike and I had a blast showing them all of the cool rides they had. I think our favorite ride was The Mummy (a indoor roller coaster.) We loved it so much we had to ride it twice. Congratulations to our friends Jeff and Andee Wright for receiving Gold for "Bridal Spotlight", Steve and Laura Moses for receiving Gold for Demo, and Keith and Jennifer who won Concept and Love Story. We look forward to seeing you all again next year!
